Brooklyn's 4th Birthday!

This sweet girl turned 4 years old in November, and I can not believe it. She is our everything. We adore her and are amazed with how much she learns so quickly.

Her birthday was on a Monday this year, so we decided to have a family birthday party for her on the Sunday before. She was so excited, she kept calling it her "pretend" birthday since it was not her really birthday.

She has quickly developed an obsession with One Direction. She loves everything about them, and her favorite is Niall, but she calls him "Nialls".  She can pretty much sing all their songs (thanks Ash!), and watches their videos a lot. Ashley and I decided to surprise her with a One Direction birthday party. We weren't able to find anything One Direction for decorations. We decided to take an older calendar, print some pictures of Brookie, and put her head over the member that has left the band. I had decorated with regular decorations before church, but while we were at church Ashley made all the pictures and hung them up. Brooklyn was so shocked and surprised to see the pictures hanging up when we got home. She just kept saying "this is hilarious", she thought it was the best thing ever. The best part was how much the family laughed at them when they got to our house.

This was the year that all she really wanted was Shopkins. I have been holding off because they are so small, and I think she would just lose them. Well it was getting closer to her birthday, and I hadn't gotten them for her, but she continued to ask for them for her birthday. So when the family members asked what they could get her I told them Shopkins. She ended up getting a lot of them, and was so excited! She was so loved and spoiled again this year.

We did surprise her with a new bike. She was way to tall for the one she had gotten for her 2nd birthday. She was SO surprised, and jumped right on it.

The next day on her actual birthday. We sang to her when she woke up with a muffin and a new tiger. We then took her and Allie to Golden Corral, where they sang Happy Birthday to her. She was so embarrassed. We ended the day with bike rides around the neighborhood.
