Feeling Better!

Last week Brooklyn was so sick, it was scary. To top it off she was sick for a whole week. I was a mess. I went to the doctor's three times, called them numerous times, and called my poor sister Mandy at 5:00am in the morning.

She had a really bad stomach virus, she would either be up all night throwing up or up all night having really bad diarrhea. It was so hard to see her so sick. She would be so tired but miserable at the same time.

But we made it through and she is back to her spunky, amazing self. She talks and talks so much. She loves puppies, and whenever you see one she drops her jaw like she was seeing it for the first time.

Her hair is growing and we are able to do more with it and she now tolerates me doing her hair. She sits still and just plays with everying on the bathroom counter.

I use to hate the time change in the spring. I hated that fact that it would be 8:00pm at night, but still light outside. Now that we have Brooklyn I love it. I feel like we have more time to get to do stuff outside. Before I would get home from work and race to take her for a walk or to the park before it got dark. She loves being outside. She could just walk and walk and walk.

One downfall to her walking and being independent is that she thinks she can just walk wherever she wants. Whenever we take her to the store, she wants down and she wants to walk. She does not like riding in the cart. If I have her at the store by myself I have to either let her cry it out in the cart or carry her in one arm and push the cart with the other. I know, I know, I can't do that she is getting spoiled.

As she masters walking she has fallen a few times. Her poor forehead has had bruises for awhile. I feel like the worst mom in the world when she falls. But being the trooper she is, she cries for a little, lets mommy give her a lot of kisses and hugs, and then she's off again.

I have some random pictures from the last month or so. On Valentine's Day I let her help me "sign" her valentines cards and we delivered them. She loved visiting everyone and was asleep as soon as we got home.

Making out her Minnie Mouse valentine cards.

Delivering her Valentines.

The Zarate Family got her a cute little stuffed owl for Valentines, she loved it.

A couple weeks after Valentines we took her to feed the ducks. She was so cute to watch!

One day we were waiting for daddy to finish at the DMV. She was being really restless so I decided to take her outside and let her walk. This was such a sad fall, she was having so much fun just walking and then fell bad! It made me so sad because she was so happy before falling.

Her poor head! Do you see why I feel like such a bad mommy?

But I am grateful we are all healthy and well. :)

Katie...she is a cutie!
This is the age where the head bumps will be all over the place...dang it...it happens though...as a Mom, I know what you mean...you feel so bad when it happens.

We have decided to pull out the 'doggy backpack' (I use the word backpack to make it sound better) that has a kid leash on it so Macy can still walk around, but can't just start grabbing stuff off the shelf. Some people will look at your crazy, and then there are people who think it's wonderful...ignore the stupid people who think it is their business...that's what I have to tell myself...anyways, I will get off that rant, but we used this 'backpack' with James and he loved it and Macy loves it too now. We got ours at Target and they still sell them...I think they have a monkey too, but if Brooke likes dogs, you might have to think about possibly investing in the 'doggy backpack'.

Poor Brooke being sick...I am glad she is better...that sounded like a nasty stomach bug. That takes a lot out of her & you.
