Feeding the Ducks!

The weather was so nice today, we decided to take Brooklyn to the duck pond by our house and feed the ducks!

They were fearless and would eat the bread right out of our hands. It was a little scary at first to have so many ducks come at you at once.

Dad didn't think it was necessary to comb his hair for the ducks. LOL

On our way home Brooklyn was so tired, she fell asleep with her toy in her mouth. So precious!

She love her toes

This little girl is growing up so fast. She has been grabbing her toes for a couple weeks, but now she loves putting them in her mouth. She is so funny!

Rice Cereal

At Brooklyn's 4 month check up Dr. Smith said that she showed all the signs and would be able to try rice cereal. After we picked Dave up from work we went to Wal-Mart and got her first box of cereal and some cute bowls and spoons. Her first reaction was so funny, but she seemed to get the hang of it.

Now that she seems to be doing well with the cereal I am trying to keep a night time routine where she has her cereal, we take a bath and get ready for bed. I hope it works.

At 4 months she is 87 percentile for weight and head, and 99 percentile for height! She also got three shots, but she was such a good girl.

Brooklyn is 4 months!

* She blows bubbles on cue.

* She drools a lot. We are wearing a bib all the time now.

* She laughs now! It is usually when she is so sleepy.

* She has moved from the newborn bassinet to the pack n play next to my bed at night.

* She takes her naps in her crib. I think this is more of an accomplishment for mom :)

* Her hair is growing in, it looks like it will be light brown for now.

* She is wearing 6 to 9 months clothes.

* She has cradle cap pretty bad. Dr. Smith gave us some ideas to help with it.

* She grabs her own feet and rolls back and forth from side to side.

* She gets the biggest smile on her face when she sees her daddy. I don't know if it's because she gets tired of hanging out with mommy all day, but it's so cute.

Being this little girls mom is amazing. It is such a blessing to finally have that feeling for myself. I have to admit I am one of those paranoid moms but I'm really trying to bring it down a couple notches. Thankfully I have Dave and Ashley here to help me out with that. It has been so fun watching this little girl grow so far.

Silly Uncle Bubba

The other day Brooklyn had a visit from Aunt Paola and Uncle Bubba. While he was here he set up a pretty sweet baby entertainment center for her. It was too cute and funny!

Brooklyn is 3 months!

* At her 2 month check up she was 97 percentile for height and weight, and 90 percentile for her head. She also had her shots and that was so hard. She was so happy and smiling at the nurse before she got them.

* She sleeps so much better at night. Sometimes she goes to bed late, but once she's down she only wakes up once to eat.

* She smiles so much more now.

*She tries to sit up on her own. She is always pulling her head up and it looks like she is trying to do a baby sit up.

* She rolled over late last night. I didn't get to see it though. I was downstairs washing her bottles and Ashley was watching her for me. Ashley yelled down to me and said she had rolled over for her. We tried to get her to do it again for me, but she only got half way. I couldn't believe it.

* She can grab her toys and her blankets on her own now.

* She is so spoiled. She only goes to sleep if I'm holding her (sometimes while in her swing). Today I tried letting her cry herself to sleep, I finally picked her up after 25 minutes. I'm not doing so well in this department.

* She holds her fist up to her face and stares at it. It's so cute because she goes cross-eyed.

We cannot believe how big she is getting. She is getting her cute little personality for sure. We just love her so much!
