Playing at the park with Cousin Allie!

Allie is talking so much now, so it's fun to hear her say Brooklyn's name. She says "Brook-tin", and she says it over and over again to try to get her attention. She is always wanting to show her stuff and gives her the sweetest hugs and kisses. She also teaches Brooklyn Itsy Bitsy Spider. We took Brooklyn to the park and she loved hanging out with Allie.

 Yes, Allie is one year older than Brooklyn and they look like they are almost the same size!

Brooklyn is 7 Months!

*Sits up by herself with no help.

*Shakes her head "no-no"

*Claps when you say "yay" but her fists are still closed when she does it. It's so cute.

*Now eats breakfast and dinner

*She can eat puffs, yoguart bites, and mum mums all by herself.

*LOVES swimming

*Plays peek a boo with her blankie

*She likes to sit in a high chair when we go out to eat like a big girl.

*Loves being outside and playing with her cousins.

*When she gets excited she breathes in and out really quick and gets the biggest smile on her face.

*Still fights sleep like no other!

*Sleeps on her side.

*Crosses her feet when she is playing with her toys and sleeping.

It is so crazy to see how fast she learns. She is very observant and pays attention to everything. We still don't have any teeth, but that's fine with me. She growing to be such a beautiful little lady. We love her so much!

Brooklyn is 6 months!

 This love of my life is half a year old today. I can' believe it. I now know what all the mothers are talking about when they say they grow up way to fast.

* She is sitting up on her own. She still needs a little support and doesn't have it perfected just yet.

* She loves to eat puffs, bananas seem to be the favorite right now.

* We have started mixing baby food with her rice ceral. She loves pears!

* Her hair is getting longer and her eyes are getting bluer.

* I really think that she is teething. She will just have some days where she is miserable, drooling like crazy, and chewing on everything.

* She can stand and turn all by herself on her baby activity center.

* She wears 9 to 12 month clothing.

* She drinks from a sippy cup (with a little help).

* She loves to play peek a boo. If I put a blanket on my head she knows to pull if off, she loves playing that game.

I just finished my spring semester in school and look forward to having the summer off with her. She can't wait to go swimming for the first time. ;)

From Minnesota with love

The day before Easter Brooklyn received a package from her Aunt Ann in Minnesota. She was so excited to open the box. She got so many fun things. Below is a picture of just a small portion of her new stuff. This little lady is so lucky to have so many aunts that love her so much even in Minnesota.

The peach fuzz hair is in full force today! :)

Brooklyn is 5 months!

How is it possible that this little girl is already 5 months old?

* She had her first illness, an ear infection. It was so sad I took her in for continuing to have a fever, once Dr. Smith looked in her ears she said it was an infection. She has to be on antibiotics for 10 days. It was so scary to have her fever get so high. Thankfully I have amazing sisters to call. I now call Mandy, Dr. Miles.

* Since she was sick, she is back to only falling asleep in my arms again. She hasn't napped in her crib for a couple weeks now.

* Her way of communicating has changed to little squeals. It seems like she is screaming but with a smile. :)

* Her sleep pattern is getting more and more in sync every day.

* She LOVES going outside and just watching all of her cousins play. She gets excited and sticks her feet straight out when they talk to her and run and play in front of her.

* She is doing really well on rice cereal. We have made it a little thicker and she is fine with it.

* She tried her first puff from Aunt Kristen the other day. She really liked it but couldn't seem to keep it in her mouth. It was so funny.

* She is always sucking on her two fingers, and drooling constantly still.

* She likes to watch some TV, her favorite is Sesame Street.

* Her hair is getting longer. After she baths and it dries it sticks straight up. I call it peach fuzz.

* Her craddle cap has cleared up, thanks to a natural shampoo we found.

* She loves to go for walks in her stroller. We have been trying to go everyday until it gets too hot.

This little girl's giggles melt my heart. When she sees you she gets the biggest smile on her face. She has the sweetest personality and loves being around everyone.
