Ashley's ears had closed up, and she was planning on getting her ears pierced again. She told Brooklyn if he wanted her pierced too, she would take her. She was excited, and so brave, but when they did it was a big ball of mush.

4th of July 2016
I love this holiday. Even though it is usually so hot and miserable, we try to do fun things that make it a fun day! We started the day off with a swim at the rec center. Uncle Allan helped Brooklyn learn how to swim without her floatie on this special day! She was so proud of herself.
After dinner we went to Doz's office to watch fireworks!
Ice Blocking
Paola has wanted us to try ice blocking for a long time, so we finally did it. We grabbed a couple blocks of ice, towels, a slip n slide, and the kids had the time of their lives. It took a couple tries to get the hang of it.
At the end of the night, we let the kids break the ice on the road. I think they like this just as much as the sliding.
