Christmas Season / Snow

What a fun December we had, how often to we get as much snow as we did for the holidays? It made the holiday season extra special. Yes, it was scary to drive in but so fun to play in.

That night I wanted to make a snowman so bad. I got Brookie bundled up and we tried, for some reason I couldn't get it to stay together. It was such a bummer, but Brooklyn loved playing in the snow.

We debated on whether to get a fake or real Christmas tree this year. We never thought we would ever consider a fake tree, but we were just so sick of buying one from a local store and they die a week later. Unless we go out and cut a tree ourselves it won't be fresh. So we did it, we bought a little fake tree.

Brooklyn loved it, she didn't care. She was so fun to watch when we decorated it and put the lights on.

We still were having colder weather than we were use to, and the snow was still on the ground.

One morning while I was getting ready for work, I noticed that Brooklyn had added some toys to the tree for decoration.
We made our annual visit to see Santa at the mall. All day I would talk to her about it to help her not be scared when we got there. I told her that she had to be nice to Santa, so when we get there and wait in line she kept saying "nice", it was so cute. Then when it was her turn, she didn't smile but she didn't cry either.

Here she is helping wrap presents on Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Eve we all got together to play games and have Christmas dinner. This was her cute Christmas Eve outfit, I was trying to get her to smile in front of the tree.

I wish this picture wasn't blurry.

Christmas morning was awesome! I loved watching her reaction when she saw that Santa come, she was seriously spoiled.

She loved the kitchen so much it was hard to get her away to open the rest of her presents.

Spoiled for sure! ;)

Update

I still have a couple posts I want to do for memory, you know like Christmas. But I wanted to try to do a weekly update with Brooklyn. I feel like she is growing up so fast and everyday she is doing something new.

We have just got over the croup and then a flu bug. Yeah that was fun, I think we didn't sleep a full night for a week. But I am so happy to say she is a lot better. Now my poor nephew has the pukies, gotta love winter time. I was also so sad because she missed her first week back at dance from winter break. She has been asking for her teacher everyday, and it finally came and she was sick.

Last week we finally took down our Christmas tree and Brooklyn cried, and she cried. She still says "Oh no dada, tree away". Yes Brookie, Dada put the tree in the garage, poor thing.

We also had Penelope stay with us for a week. These girls are hilarious they can be the best of friends and then mad at each other in the drop of a hat. If they were mad at each other if one spoke the other would point and yell no! Imagine this going on through out the day. We had to remind them that they love each other and they need to be nice. LOL

Sharing the iPad, and some goldfish

Costco! I wish more stores had the double seats. :)

I almost didn't post these pictures because my kitchen is scary messy, but these girls thought they were hilarious and laughed so hard at each other.

This is Penelope's Mad Eye Moody face

Brookie wanted her picture taken after Penelope's, poor sick baby. :(
We have a corner in our front room that I have set up just for Brooklyn's toys. I have been wanting to decorate it since we moved in and I finally did it. I have had these frames for awhile now and I'm glad I finally painted a couple.

First Dance Recital!

Weeks leading up to this recital I was a nervous wreck. I wish I didn't stress so easily but I do. In dance class we would have good and bad days. I was so worried that she would just run around the teacher while on stage like she does in class. But the day came, and all three girls were amazing. They performed at the Dickens' Festival and while we were waiting back stage for them to perform, I was sweating bullets.

All the girls did amazing. It has been so neat to see Emma and Lindsay continue to improve and become awesome dancers. I was so proud of all of them, beaming all night!

Fun Day with Mom and Dad

About a month ago, we took Brooklyn out to the St. George carousel and some frozen yogurt. I was excited to take her to the carousel since we hadn't been there for a while and she loved it. Well as soon as we get there she waits patiently to pay for her ticket and then gave her ticket to the lady. We found the horse she wanted and she seemed ready. But as soon as the ride started she clung to me so tight. I have never seen her this scared before. I tried so hard to get her to get back on the horse, but she wasn't having it. Since I bought two tickets we decided to just sit in the seat together on the second ride. She still had a hard time, but since I was sitting next to her it wasn't as bad. It's crazy how things she was not scared of before, now terrify her.

Her fake/concerned smile
Here Brookie, let me take a picture really quick

Nope, not having it!

We decided to walk around after the ride.

Of course she finds the first pile of dirt and wants to dig in it.

After the carousel, we took her to Yogurt Land. She loved it, maybe because she always gets more candy than frozen yogurt.

This cutie was tuckered once we left.  I sure do love her!
