Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving is always a fun holiday. It's a chance to get together with family, and get ready for the holiday season. This year my family came over to our house. Vanessa and Jeremy went down to Overton. Ashley and I had a lot of fun decorating the night before. After a couple fun bargain shopping trips with my buddy Vanessa, we were ready.
I wanted a hint of Christmas so we put up Ashley's tree in the entry way.
I know its not Thanksgiving, but Ash made this out of vinyl and the cricket for her bedroom door. She's been wanting to do it since we moved here.
Everyone eat!
Smile for the camera! Okay nevermind I know everyone is hungry. LOL Kristin was the only one that listened to me.

Doz hung out with the boys when they watched cartoons!

Carter refused to get out of his jammies, but he's still a cutie!
Now we went black Friday shopping again. It seemed like there were way more people out this year, which makes sense. I wasn't going to post this picture, but its exactly how I felt when we were done. UGH!
On Saturday I watched baby Nathan so Paola and Bubba can go to the movies. He was so good, and played with the little pool set that whole time. I can't believe he's almost one!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends. Next weekend we get our Christmas tree, I'm so excited. :D

Jubilee of New Moon?

Last weekend was a fun weekend for us. On Saturday we went to the Jubilee of Trees at the Dixie Center. I love looking at the amazing trees, and try to go every year. This year all the nieces had dance to perform at Saturday. They did so well, and got really embarrassed when everyone cheered for them. Here are some of my favorite trees from this year.
Twilight Tree!
The Jubilee of Trees this year were raising money so that we could have a helicopter for emergencies available in St. George. They had the actual helicopter in the center.
Posing in front of the Twilight Tree.
Lindsay and Emma dancing.
Emma got ready at our house, she loves crossing her eyes for photos now. LOL

And of course the midnight showing of Twilight a couple day earlier was great. We waited a long time, but it was worth it. Best girls night out so far. We waited in the car for awhile, until we saw that line get longer. I loved the movie, its no Oscar contender but it was perfect for the fans.

Right after the movie got out. Are we glowing?

Really Wynonna? Really?

I know I have been lazy with blogging about my life, but I came across this story on Us Magazine website, and felt I needed to vent.

Taylor Swift won the entertainer of the year at the CMA's, but Wynonna feels its "too soon". Really Wynonna, how is it too soon? This award is given based on the nominees work in the last year. Which I think Taylor deserves. Don't get me wrong, I grew up to my mom and grandma listening to the Judd's and like her music a lot, but was surprised that she made this comment.

I could understand if Taylor were to win the Lifetime Achievement Award, but this was a valid win. Just as if someone were to win an Oscar in their twenties. It would be based on their work in the last year on a movie.

People give this poor girl a break, she deserves everything she has won this year, that's right I said it Kanye!

In other news, today is a good day. Its Friday, its raining, and its payday. It is also only 6 days until New Moon. I've got my midnight showing tickets and my girls. What else can I ask for?

Have a great weekend!
